Epic and intimate, The Prisoner of Beauty had me in its clutches from the start and did not let me go until the final credits rolled.
Endings are tricky and this one felt a little rushed perhaps (and I did not enjoy the conclusion of one character's journey), but I have no real complaints.
Overall, this compelling story was brilliantly constructed and beautifully portrayed by an impressive ensemble cast.
No frustrating filler here!

Song Zu Er and Liu Yu Ning give stunning, nuanced performances… I absolutely adored both of their characters.
Feeling both bereft and satisfied now that the journey is over…
