Nine Puzzles

Nine Puzzles has all the right pieces (sorry) for a brilliant police procedural/ thriller.

The show is well written and directed. It is very entertaining and features an impressive ensemble cast.

Unfortunately, however, the central mystery/story arc does not quite live up to this drama’s potential (don’t go in expecting Beyond Evil #2).

Nine Puzzles is strongest when it focuses on the complicated relationship between criminal profiler Yun Na (the always brilliant Kim Da Mi) and detective Kim Han Saem (Son Suk Ku delivering a tough yet emotional performance).

I could watch these two work cases season after season after season.
