What I've Been Watching

The thing I love about The First Jasmine (Viki) is that, yes there are familiar tropes, but this show also has some really intriguing secrets to reveal – both in terms of its narrative and its character development. I am fully invested / obsessed!

My Royal Nemesis (Viki) comes to an end this weekend and will likely be one of 2026’s most surprising kdramas. I had no idea that this show was going to be so entertaining!

I started watching Ticket to Heaven (Viki) and immediately became obsessed with this Thai bl. The story, which explores love, faith and acceptance, is so compelling.

The drama looks stunning and its central performances are really impressive (chemistry for days and days🔥). Things are going to get emotional I think!

I finished Dazzling (Viki) and really loved this slice of life youth drama with its slow, slow burn romance between a spirited city girl and a reserved / devoted country boy.

While the show's pacing and story stalled towards the end, its final episodes were cute and satisfying. If you are in need of comfort, Dazzling is the cdrama for you (click here for my full review).

I started Love Story In The 1970s and, while it is early days, I think I am going to adore this show. It features another gorgeous Chen Fei Yu performance and I am here for it!

I finished Double Helix (Viki) and, while I loved the first two episodes, the show did not work for me overall. I enjoy a red flag character (*in a drama*). However, Lu Feng was irredeemably toxic. His story ark was uncomfortable to watch and the show’s conclusion felt contrived and irresponsible.

I started Reply 1997 (Viki) thinking that it was enjoyable but not a patch on Reply 1988. However, as I near the end of this show, I am loving it (and all of its characters) and will be so sad to say goodbye.

King The Eternal Monarch (Netflix) continues to be compelling, entertaining and occasionally a little goofy. I love how this show loves Lee Min Ho (don’t we all?) and cannot get enough of him in slow mo!
