When The Weather Is Fine is a show of two halves.

The first is romantic and healing. Set within a vibrant, supportive community, it features a wonderful book club where members share poignant stories.

The second half is a heart-breaking story of grief, loss and regret.

For the most part, the two halves blend well.

A definite slow burn, the show’s beautiful love story is portrayed by Park Min Young and Seo Kang Joon who give impressive and restrained performances.

Meanwhile, Kim Hwan Hee and Lee Jang Wook steal every scene and provide much needed comic relief.

While the final episodes falter somewhat, the drama ends with warmth and love.
