Mobius

Mobius (Netflix) started strong, offering a fresh take on the time-loop trope. It doesn't hurt that Bai Jing Ting looks impossibly cool in this show – slo mo, sharp suits and black t-shirts for days.

In episode one, this started to feel a little cheesy. However, the show then introduced an unexpected and very welcome comedic element (which worked for me).

However, despite Bai Jing Ting’s best efforts, the show became far less compelling in its final act and, at 16 episodes, felt overlong. The main issue for me (aside from the drama’s jarring score), was Mobius's lack of heart.

I needed more time with the show's found family to truly care about them and I did not buy into the central romance.

It is not fair to compare Mobius to Reset... but, on several occasions, I wished that I was rewatching that cdrama instead.
