I mostly adored Dynamite Kiss (Netflix). Mostly.
I eagerly awaited each new instalment and had the best time while watching most of the episodes in this show.
Ahn Eun Jin and Jang Ki Yong were rom com perfection with chemistry to spare.
Before the final two episodes were released, I wondered if this drama would “stick the landing” and, if it did not, would this matter?
In the end, the answer was yes and no.
Ultimately, the journey of Dynamite Kiss was more satisfying than the destination.
The show's final two episodes just did not work for me. Episode 13 was frustrating and episode 14 felt unsatisfying (largely due to the injection of a rather unwelcome trope).
The story arc involving the second leads was a particular disappointment. Oh and the “fun” sequence at the end just made me feel awkward.
However, I do not regret spending time with Dynamite Kiss and I would still recommend this drama to anyone in the mood for swoony/angsty/tropey/silly rom com fun 😊
