Gyeongseong Creature season one may not be perfect (I struggled with the pacing midway through), but I found a lot to recommend this show. The cast is extremely impressive and I very much appreciated how the show explored such a difficult and devastating chapter in history. By the end I was gripped by this story... so much so that I barrelled straight into season two. Film recommendation! Midnight is an incredibly tense and propulsive horror/thriller. Jin Ki Joo plays a deaf woman targeted by Wi Ha Joon's scene stealing serial killer. Goodness Wi Ha Joon has such fantastic range doesn't he! He is brilliant in this role. As well as being a gripping thrill ride, Midnight also explores important societal issues relating to gender and deafness. Who are we most likely to pay attention to, who do we believe?
